In June 2021, China Development Bank Leasing Co., Ltd. (CDBL), together with the Third Branch of the Shenzhen Municipal Office of the State Administration of Taxation, went to Pingnan School in Longgang District, Shenzhen and carried out activities entitled “Children Growing With the CPC”, donating books on CPC history studies and daily teaching materials for the teachers and students.
As a school for nine-year compulsory education run by non-state actors in Longgang District of Shenzhen, Pingnan School has a limited source of income. The students enrolled here are children of migrant workers, which helps the migrant workers in Shenzhen from leaving their children back at hometown. To address the lack of teaching material in the school, CDBL and the Third Branch of the Shenzhen Municipal Office of the State Administration of Taxation jointly raised funds on the basis of a framework agreement, and purchased books on CPC history studies and other materials that were in short supply. CDBL also called for its employees to donate money, and everyone actively responded in the hope of making a modest contribution.
